Arrange the main connection
Choose rail, bus or air connections to Kerala and confirm the onward road service. Chengannur and Kottayam are common planning points; use current railway and KSRTC information rather than assuming a seasonal service runs every day.
Nilakkal and the transfer
Check the current vehicle and parking instructions. If your vehicle must stop at Nilakkal, follow the designated transfer to Pamba. Do not assume private vehicles can continue because an older itinerary says so.
At Pamba
Allow time to regroup, use facilities and prepare for the ascent. Keep the booking confirmation and required identity document accessible. Ask your Guruswamy about the devotional observances before joining the permitted uphill route.
