This route is associated with the Vandiperiyar side rather than the ordinary road arrival at Pamba. Its entry conditions and exit arrangements must be checked independently. A traditional route description is not a current permit.

Ask the authorities about the permitted entry point, operating dates and hours, weather restrictions, group requirements and return movement. Use only authorized transport and marked routes.
Choose a confirmed alternative
If current permission cannot be established, arrange a permitted approach through the normal transport and queue system. Never enter the forest on the assumption that previous pilgrims used it.
